The Egyptian army has entered Sinai, does this violate the terms of the Camp David Accords?

Question by Irish 313: The Egyptian army has entered Sinai, does this violate the terms of the Camp David Accords?
Al Jazeera have reported that the Egyptian army are on the streets of Sharm el Sheikh (largest city in Sinai) Thanks.
Yes, I know Sinai is Egypt. But as far as I know under the terms of Camp David no Egyptian military is allowed enter Sinai but maybe I’m mistaken? I thought the Sinai had to remain demilitarised? Of course the army entered to provide security (or repress the people – depends how you view it) as police in Egypt seem to have disappered for now. Thanks.

That’s a really interesting question. I don’t know…I know that the Israeli’s still have signs up in the tabernacle to this day warning people to not go past the rope because it’s considered holy. So the past must still have some play even today. Sorry I don’t have an answer, but its definitely an interesting question.
