Question by Anonymous: What tribes and groups are modern descendents of ancient Egyptians?
Where do they live? Were any brought to the U.S.? Why do many modern Egyptians look more Arab or maybe slightly Greek, or something else. To me, images of ancient Egyptians look like a cross between a black and white person with medium skin tone. Maybe like a person from northeast Africa, or like someone from Afar tribe. Obviously, they weren’t Europeans, but I’m just talking about the features on the statues and stuff. They looked mixed race. Any ideas?

Coptic Christians of Egypt and some proportion of the Egyptian Muslim population who were not descendants of Arabs from Arabia.
