Like women everywhere, Egyptian women would prefer to marry someone who is good looking, but if love takes over then to her even the ugly frog looks like a handsome prince.
In other words love overcomes looks.
When people are living exaggerated like those of famous actresses and singers then they will often fall for someone that they feel can give them what is missing from their lives.
To them obviously getting a good looking man is no big deal, but to find a man who has other good qualities can be quite a challenge.
being handsome or have beauty is only skin deep , what really matters is what is under the skin , It is safer to marry a not so handsome man , then ………..no one will look at him LOL .
