Answer by CARLOS O
Homosexuality and Islamic Law
Homosexual behaviour (liwat)… is considered to be adultery, being sex with an illicit partner. A person who performs such actions (luti) is considered as extraordinarily corrupt, because he challenges the harmony of the sexes and topsyturvies God’s creation.
Legal Sanctions
The punishment that the Islamic jurists generally prescribe for adultery, and therefore also for homosexual behaviour, is stoning to death for married people, and 100 lashes for unmarried people
Lesbianism
Of female same-sex behaviour (musahaqa) almost nothing is known. Islamic law considers it sex outside of marriage and therefore as adultery, with all the consequences already described. Yet because no penetration takes place, punishment is theoretically limited to 100 lashes
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
In the Hadith, homosexual behaviour is condemned harshly: “whenever a male mount another male, the throne of God trembles”……… if you see two people who act like the people of Lot, then kill the active and the passive”.

Capital punishment in Egypt can be traced back to the ancient Egyptian civilization, where the death penalty was carried out against those who broke the Ma’at, a law which forbade crimes such as murder, theft, sacrilege, attempts on the life of the Pharaoh, and spying. Methods of execution included beheading, sacrifice, and drowning in the Nile in a closed sack. According to Amnesty International, the death penalty in Egypt is currently reserved for crimes under anti-terrorism legislation, as well as “premeditated murder, rape and drug related offences.” ………………..There are currently two methods of execution in Egypt. The first and more commonly used is hanging (the gallows), which is used on civilian criminals. The second is the firing squad, which is specifically used for soldiers and military personnel who commit capital crimes. In addition, capital punishment can also be meted out for high treason………The Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist groups brought demands on the government to adopt Islamic sharia. Government officials argued that adopting Islamic sharia was not necessary because 95 percent of Egypt’s laws were already consistent with or derived from Islamic law. In 1985 the People’s Assembly rejected demands for the immediate adoption of the sharia but supported a recommendation to review all statutes and change the ones that conflicted with Islamic law. This process, which continued for years, necessitated the review of approximately 6,000 laws and 10,000 peripheral legal acts. Capital crimes that carried a possible death sentence included murder, manslaughter occurring in the commission of a felony, arson or the use of explosives that caused death, rape, treason, and endangerment of state security.
Few convictions for capital crimes, however, resulted in execution. The supreme court, the mufti (see Glossary) of Egypt, and the president reviewed each death sentence. In 1987 Egypt executed six individuals for murder and two others for abduction and rape.

How many of our lawmakers voted yes to the egypt loan bill?
Question by Marsha: How many of our lawmakers voted yes to the egypt loan bill?
We just told egypt they didn’t have to repay 1 billion and gave them more to help start new business in their country. how many lawmakers voted yes to this action?

Answer by Elwood Blues
How many of our lawmakers talked up the notion that reneging on a little debt was no big problem? Do you think the Egyptians liked that idea?
Look at it this way: would you rather spend $ 100 billion defending against enemies, or $ 1 billion buying friends? You are in favor of replacing military despots with democratically chosen governments, right? The debt relief makes sense to me.

Question by Change Now: How do you think Bush feels now that we have a chance for democracy in Egypt for free?
Bush spent a trillion dollars and thousands of lives to get democracy in the middle east.
Obama is getting it for free in Egypt.
Do you think Bush has got some buyer’s remorse going on?
Best answer:
Answer by Apathy Forever
Retard Obama had nothing to do with Egypt. You fail. Try again.
And did you ever think that maybe the war in Iraq helped prod these calls for freedom along in the Middle East? Nah! You are filled with to much hate and ignorance to even conceive of that possibility.
