A general characteristic of Egyptian art is the idealistic way Egyptians portrayed pharaohs and other elite people. Such as the perfect symmetry of the face and body. I’m not sure about the three points though.

Why did the Egypt protests get so much more media attention than the Iran protests?
Question by Lover: Why did the Egypt protests get so much more media attention than the Iran protests?
The protests in Iran around June 2009 after their rigged elections were at least 10 times bigger than the ones in Egypt you are seeing now. You can just see from the YouTube videos they were larger, but then how come the media has given so much more attention to what is going on in Egypt than they did with Iran after their elections?
Have any of you noticed this?
@Flower – Half of the Iranian population definitely do not support the theocracy.
Best answer:
Answer by just me!!!
One reason that there was more media attention in EGYPT is that media access is totally controlled by the Iranian government compared to Egypt which may be more open. Also I believe that Egypt is a friendlier country which is more open to outsiders.
The news may be slow and this is the only story they have at the moment.

What games did ancient egyptian kids play?
Question by hi: What games did ancient egyptian kids play?
My class is having a egyptian party and I was thinking of having outdoor games that Egyptian kids played but ones that the school actually allows. (not wrestling)

Answer by Louise C
I think the idea of an Egyptian party sounds great fun. In ‘Life in Ancient Egypt, Eugen Strouhal writes:
Children normally played out of doors. They enjoyed racing, wresting, running and jumping. In one relief we see a boy balancing on the outsretched arms of a friend, which are resting on the shoulders of two other lads. Two groups of boys have locked elbows for a tug of war, and a little further on three youngsters are running a race.
In the middle register there is a group having a war-game. Three boys, holding ostrich feathers in their right hands sloping back over the shoulders, are marching around a ‘prisoner’ whose arms are folde,d three others face the prisoner. nearby squats a boy with his arms stretched out to defend himself, while his playmates strike out with their fists: evidently he has to guess which one hit him.
The lower register illustrates girls at play. On the left four of them have linked up in a ring, the hieroglyphs explain that this was a game called “pressing the grapes”. Beside them a band of five girls are doing the Hathor dance, holding hand-shaped wooden rattles in their left hands and mirrors in their right.
Egyptian familiarity with ball games is apparent from excavated balls made of papyrus, cloth, or leather, stuffed with straw, thread or horsehair. Several Middle Kingdom tomb murals at Beni Hasan depict groups of girls throwing a ball from one to the other, while others juggle up to three balls or play a kind of equestrian game where the losers apparently had to carry the winners around on their backs. Other children’s sports were fishing, target-shooting, donkey-riding and swimming in the canals that criss-crossed the country. Royal offspring enjoyed the use of artificial pools.
